OVERVIEW STATEMENT:
recommendation
Public Works is requesting Council to approve the final contract and accept construction for the Wastewater Lift Stations 5, 6, 8, 11, and 15 Equipment Replacement project (No. 1518, 1519, 2108, 2109, 1204-404-03). This contract with Award Construction had a base bid amount of $4,495,713, plus change orders and bid items increases or decreases, resulting in a final contract amount of $4,431,264. The project upgraded aging equipment at five pump stations, increasing their life cycles.

This project completes the ten-station, six-year program to replace or rehabilitate city lift stations. The original cost estimate for the program was $44 million dollars with completion planned for 2025. The program was completed one year early at a cost of $39 million, resulting in $5 million in savings.
