REQUEST RATIONALE:
* Relevant Plans/Policies:
Redmond Comprehensive Plan, Redmond Transportation Master Plan, implementing functional and strategic plans, and zoning regulations.
* Required:
The Growth Management Act requires that Washington cities and counties periodically review and, if needed, revise its comprehensive plan and development regulations every eight years. For King County cities the periodic review must be completed by June 30, 2024 per WAC 365-196-610.
* Council Request:
The City Council requested quarterly reports on project milestones, staff progress and public involvement.
* Other Key Facts:
Staff will provide updates on the following key project components:
1. Virtual Lobby The Virtual Lobby will inform the public about Redmond 2050 and elicit input on the following topics:
* Community priorities for sustainability;
* Pains and Gains - aspirations and concerns for the future of Redmond;
* Transportation vision, values, and priorities; and
* Environmental analysis/review scoping in accordance with the State Environmental Policy Act (SEPA), chapter 43.21C RCW;
