OVERVIEW STATEMENT:
recommendation
Under the Growth Management Act, King County, in consultation with cities, is responsible for ensuring that cities plan for accommodating their share of the region's population and employment growth. To support the periodic review of the Comprehensive Plan (Redmond 2050), King County Countywide Planning Policies, which include local housing and employment growth targets, are expected to be updated in 2021. On January 19th, staff will provide an overview of the county process, staff recommendations, and the timeline for setting and adopting the local growth targets.
