Confirmation of Appointment of New Library Board of Trustees Member
OVERVIEW STATEMENT:

There is currently an opening on the Library Board of Trustees, due to the resignation of Bree Norlander.
The press release advertising this opening was posted on March 21, 2022, and can be viewed at: News Release: City Seeks Volunteer for the Library Board of Trustees (govdelivery.com). Six applications were received and reviewed. The Library Board Chair, Kara Simon, and Parks Director, Loreen Hamilton interviewed candidates on May 16, 2022, and selected Joanna Kim to move forward. Ms. Kim was interviewed by Mayor Birney on May 27, 2022, and with the City Council on June 14, 2022.
If appointment is confirmed by Council, Ms. Kim's term will expire on March 31, 2023.
