OVERVIEW STATEMENT:
recommendation
Perteet Inc. (Everett, WA) has been selected to assist the city in the design phase of the pavement management project for Avondale Road from Union Hill Rd to NE 90th St (Project No. 20012120). This project will rehabilitate the asphalt roadway. Future supplemental agreement(s) would cover construction phase services. This approval would also authorize staff to secure all property rights necessary to construct and maintain the project.

A request for proposals was advertised in March 2022. Proposals were received, and interviews completed. Perteet was selected as the design consultant.


OUTCOMES:
Avondale Road is a key corridor for Redmond. Approving this consultant agreement will allow design to start and authorize staff to secure any necessary property rights, if needed. In addition to rehabilitating the asphalt roadway between Union Hill Road and NE 90th Street, the project includes new channelization, a new buffered bike lane, new vehicle loop detectors, and upgrades of ADA curb ramps to current ADA standa...
