Redmond 2050: Planning Commission Recommendation for Human Services and Annexation and Regional Planning Elements
OVERVIEW STATEMENT:

Staff recommends that the City Council provide direction for topics or issues to discuss at its April 9 study session concerning the Planning Commission's recommendation for the Human Services and Annexation and Regional Planning Elements as part of Redmond 2050.
Because these elements are shorter and Council has reviewed them before, staff proposes to prioritize completing the discussion of remaining Housing, Overlake, Green Building, and RZC Rewrite issues on April 9. The order of the study session would be:
1. Housing, Overlake, Green Building, and RZC Rewrite open issues from February
2. Human Services Element issues raised on April 2
3. Annexation and Regional Planning Element issues raised on April 2
On February 14, 2024, the Planning Commission recommended approval of updates to the Human Services and Annexation and Regional Planning Elements. Staff will introduce the Commission's recommendation at the Council's April 2 business meeting.
Staff recommends that Council first review the Planning Commission Report (Attachment B), which summarizes the amendments and includes the full text of the amendments. Detailed Planning Commission Report appendices are included as Attachment C.
