Confirmation of Appointment of New Parks, Trails, and Recreation Commission Members
OVERVIEW STATEMENT:

There are currently two openings on the Parks, Trails, and Recreation Commission, due to the resignations of Jennifer Brun and Tammy VuPham.
The press release advertising this opening was posted on August 10, 2023, and can be viewed at: News Release: City Seeks Applicants for Parks, Trails, and Recreation Commissioners and Youth Advocates (govdelivery.com) <https://content.govdelivery.com/bulletins/gd/WAREDMOND-369eed4?wgt_ref=WAREDMOND_WIDGET_2>. Initial interviews were conducted, and Clint Smith and Praveen Rachakulla were selected to move forward to Interview with the Mayor. Those interviews were conducted the week of September 25th, 2023, and both candidates interviewed with Council on October 10, 2023. They have been nominated for appointment, subject to Council confirmation.
Clint Smith would fill the vacancy left by Tammy VuPham, and Praveen Rachakulla would fill the vacancy left by Jennifer Brun.
