Confirmation of Appointment of New Human Services Commission and Parks, Trails, and Recreation Commission Members

There is currently an opening on the Human Services Commission, due to the resignation of Rachid Erekaini.
The press release advertising this opening was posted on July 9, 2025, and can be viewed at:
•Human Services Commission Seeks New Members Redmond, WA <https://www.redmond.gov/m/newsflash/home/detail/2582>. Six applications were received and reviewed. Initial interviews were conducted and Shravani Salgaonkar was selected to move forward to interview with Mayor Birney on September 23, 2025. Ms. Salgaonkar interviewed with Council on October 14, 2025.
There is currently an opening on the Parks, Trails, and Recreation Commission, due to the resignation of Praveen Rachakulla.

Initial interviews were conducted and Kimberly Marcelino was selected to move forward to interview with Mayor Birney on September 22, 2025. Ms. Marcelino interviewed with Council on October 14, 2025.
