Status Update on Adaptive Signal Control Projects

OVERVIEW STATEMENT:

recommendation

Adaptive signal control technology monitors traffic in real-time and automatically adjusts signal timings to accommodate changing traffic patterns.  There are two Adaptive Signal Control projects in the Capital Investment Program (CIP).  One for the Downtown area and one for the Overlake area.  The adaptive signal control system will be capable of adjusting signal timing and operations in real-time. This staff report provides a brief overview and status of the Adaptive Signal Control projects.
