OVERVIEW STATEMENT:

Public Works is requesting Council to approve the final contract and accept construction for the Sidewalk Repair Project - 40th Street (156th Avenue to Bel-Red Rd) project (No.2338). This contract with SCI Infrastructure LLC had a base bid amount of $1,231,808, plus or minus change orders and bid items increases or decreases, resulting in a final contract amount of $1,267,396.

OUTCOMES:

Project objectives include replacing approximately 2000 linear feet of sidewalk that was severely damaged by tree root growth and replacing 13 non-compliant curb ramps with ADA-compliant ones. The project met the objectives.

Time Constraints:

Following project acceptance, in accordance with RCW 60.28, the contract retainage will be released upon receipt of clearances from the Washington State Departments of Revenue and Labor and Industries, and a mandatory 45-day waiting period for filing claims and liens.

 

 

ANTICIPATED RESULT IF NOT APPROVED:
