Confirmation of Appointment of New Planning Commission Members
OVERVIEW STATEMENT:

There is currently one vacancy and two upcoming vacancies on the Planning Commission, due to the resignation of Angela Nuevacamina and the term endings for Sherri Nichols and Denni Shefrin.
The press release advertising this opening was posted on November 29, 2023, and can be viewed at: News Release: Redmond Seeks New Planning Commission Members (govdelivery.com) <https://content.govdelivery.com/bulletins/gd/WAREDMOND-37c5b65?wgt_ref=WAREDMOND_WIDGET_2>. Twelve applications were received and reviewed. Candidates were interviewed and Adam Coleman, Bryan Copley and Denice Gagner were selected to move forward. Each candidate was interviewed by Mayor Birney and then by Council on March 19, 2024. They have been nominated for appointment, subject to Council confirmation.
Adam Coleman would fill the opening left by Angela Nuevacamina. Bryan Copley would fill the vacancy left by Sherri Nichols. Denice Gagner would fill the vacancy left by Denni Shefrin.
