​Approval of a Consultant Agreement with David Evans and Associates, Inc. in the Amount of $701,960, and Acceptance of the Department of Commerce Grant for the Idylwood Park Parking Lot Expansion and Frontage Improvements Project

 

OVERVIEW STATEMENT:

recommendation

​​Public Works is requesting to approve the consultant agreement with David Evans and Associates, Inc. in the amount of $701,960. This agreement is for design for the Idylwood Park Parking Lot Expansion and Frontage Improvements project, Project No. 2371.

​Public Works is also requesting to accept Department of Commerce grant in the amount of $215,000. The Department of Commerce will retain three percent to cover administrative costs, resulting in a net award to the City of $208,550.

​This project will include expansion and renovation of the Idylwood Park main parking lot to increase capacity and address pavement failures, drainage issues, damaged curb, and ADA deficiencies. Pedestrian and cyclist safety enhancements will also be made along the park frontage. ​
