Authorize Mayor to sign a Strategic Alliance Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the United States Small Business Administration

The purpose of this Strategic Alliance Memorandum (SAM) is to develop and foster mutual understanding and a working relationship between the Small Business administration (SBA) and the City of Redmond, WA in order to strengthen and expand small business development in the local area.

Redmond 2030 Comprehensive Plan Economic Vitality Strategies:
EV-19 Participate in partnerships with other agencies, businesses, nonprofits, and other organizations that further the City’s economic vitality goals.
EV-20 Implement, in conjunction with business, education and other community partners, the Strategic Plan for Economic Development to…Identify strategies to retain existing businesses and help them succeed;
EV-21 Initiate or participate in the following activities in support of economic vitality: • Monitor future trends and economic conditions; • Prepare information for businesses on available public sector financing; • Support federal and state funding of cost-effective business financing programs;
