Council scheduled time for the 5/26/26 study session to discuss ALPR and review the grant funding the City previously accepted to support Flock cameras. City staff are available to provide an overview of the funding, highlight information for consideration, and answer questions.

Redmond’s acceptance of grant funding must be approved by City Council.

                     Council Request:

During Council’s Study Session on 4/28/26 it shared interest in moving forward with open session discussion on ALPR grant funding.

                     Other Key Facts:

Council accepted the Dept. of Commerce grant on 8/5/24 and the WATPA grant on 9/17/24 and authorized the Finance Department to recognize the revenue to fund fixed automated license plate readers, with details summarized in the following table:
