Human Services Commission Candidate Interview
OVERVIEW STATEMENT:

There is currently an opening on the Human Services Commission, due to the resignation of David Poe.
The press release advertising this opening was posted on June 1, 2026, and can be viewed at: •Human Services Commission Seeks New Member Redmond, WA <https://www.redmond.gov/m/newsflash/home/detail/2960>. Six applications were received and reviewed. Initial interviews were conducted, and Austin Ashenbrenner was selected to move forward. Mr. Ashenbrenner interviewed with Mayor Birney on July 10, 2026.
Staff is requesting Council interview Austin Ashenbrenner to fill this opening. The term would expire on March 31, 2029.
