There is currently an opening on the Human Services Commission, due to the resignation of Samit Bordoloi.
The press release advertising this opening was posted on September 30, 2025, and can be viewed at: News Flash ? Human Services Commission Seeks a New Member. Two new applications were received and reviewed. Initial interviews were conducted and Vartika Gupta was selected to move forward to interview with Mayor Birney.
She completed her Council interview on November 12, 2025.
