Transportation Master Plan Status Update

OVERVIEW STATEMENT:
recommendation
In collaboration with the Comprehensive Plan Update, Redmond 2050, the City is working on updating the Transportation Master Plan (TMP). The TMP is the functional strategic plan that guides transportation investment and activities to support the Comprehensive Plan vision. This status update will include progress updates on the workplan for TMP completion, including a detailed review of strategies included in the Curbspace and Bicycle Network chapters. Curbspace strategies will highlight the goal to prioritize curbspace use based on land use type, and Bicycle strategies will focus on the development of a high-comfort separated bikeway system and other strategies to achieve an aggressive bicycle mode shift. Staff will include appendix material with the presentation that notes first-last mile strategies, more detail on the bicycle and curbspace strategies, a map of the proposed Redmond bicycle network, and summary of public input received over the summer.
