Staff is providing an update to Parks and Environmental Sustainability Committee of the Whole on the RCC III Request for Proposals (RFP) for design and the PSE Sammamish-Juanita easement along the RCC III Corridor.

Staff intends to return in April/May to seek Council approval of the consultant contract for design of the RCC III. Additionally, Council approval of an easement with Puget Sound Energy for the Sammamish-Juanita Transmission Line project should take place this spring/summer.
OUTCOMES:
The Redmond Central Connector is a key regional link from Redmond to Issaquah via the East Lake Sammamish Trail, two light rail stations (Downtown, Marymoor Village) and the Cross Kirkland Corridor. It is part of the larger Eastrail, a 42-mile corridor between Snohomish County and Renton. RCC III is Redmond's final 1.6 miles of the trail to be completed and will improve access to businesses on Willows Road and Kirkland at NE 124th.
