The last quarterly update was September 21, 2021 with focus Downtown Redmond Link Extension Design Completion and Construction Progress.
OUTCOMES:
Light rail will be the backbone of Redmond's transit network when it opens in 2023 to Overlake and 2024 to Southeast Redmond and Downtown Redmond. It will provide a frequent and reliable mobility choice that connects Redmond to the region.

Underway - A major outreach effort for construction and long-term detours planned for the SR520/SR202 interchange is commencing in February of 2022. Sound Transit is continuing to test guideway and Light Rail Vehicles for Eastlink from Bellevue to Redmond.
