OVERVIEW STATEMENT:
recommendation
Authorize the Mayor to sign King County's RE+ Pledge. Signing of the Re+ Pledge, acknowledges the success of Re+ requires collaboration between King County and local jurisdictions to support the shared vision of Re+. Reducing single-use items, reusing everything that can be, recycling what's left, renewing communities, and rethinking what's possible is in alignment with the City's Environmental Sustainability Action Plan goals.

OUTCOMES:
??The King County Solid Waste Division (KCSWD) is the planning authority for and owner and operator
?of the solid waste transfer and disposal system serving the residents and businesses in
?unincorporated King County and in most cities in King County. The KCSWD and partner cities have
?committed jointly to ambitious waste avoidance and reduction goals in numerous planning
?documents, including the King County Comprehensive Solid Waste Management Plan ("Comp Plan")
?and the K4C Commitment. These documents set goals to achieve zero waste of resources by 2030,
