OVERVIEW STATEMENT:

Approve an on-call contract for semi-annual groundwater monitoring. The City used a competitive RFP process and selected Landau Associates, Inc. This contract will be for a period of two years with an option to be extended for an additional two years. This contact has a maximum allowable contract value, but this Council Action does not authorize any spending. Each task order under the contract must be funded through a Council authorized project or program.

The current groundwater monitoring contract expires on December 31, 2024.
OUTCOMES:
City staff have used groundwater monitoring on-call contracts for groundwater monitoring and additional groundwater protection work for many years. The consultant services are crucial for timely groundwater monitoring and reporting given current staffing levels and workloads. The existing contract expires on December 31, 2024, and a new contract should be in place early in January 2025 to ensure the winter 2025 groundwater sampling event can occur at the end of January 2025.
