III.                     DESCRIPTION/BACKGROUND

 

The Council conducts its annual retreat in the first quarter of each year. This year the retreat will be held on Saturday, February 9, 2019, at the Redmond Community Center at Marymoor Village.

 

At the November 27, 2018, study session, staff reviewed the draft framework for the retreat, the 2018 Strategic Plan, performance metrics, and community involvement strategies to build the agenda for the upcoming retreat. Staff will review with Council the updated agenda and framework for the retreat based on the November 27, 2018, discussions.

V.                     IMPACT

 

A.                     Service/Delivery:

 

Council priorities are the key components of the City departments’ workplans, with identifiable actions, outcomes, and progress reports to the Council.

 

B.                     Fiscal Note:

 

Items identified in the 2019/20 budget support the Council’s priorities.

 

VI.                     ALTERNATIVES TO STAFF RECOMMENDATION

 

The Council can adjust its priorities through the retreat process.

 

VII.                     TIME CONSTRAINTS

 

The Council retreat is scheduled for February 9, 2019.  Finalization of the agenda is needed to develop the future vision of the City.
