* Other Key Facts:
Should the Council approve the Comprehensive Public Safety Ballot Measure to go forward to the voters, Redmond is responsible for appointing members to pro and con committees to prepare statements either for or against the ballot measure.
OUTCOMES:
The City sent out a press release (https://www.redmond.gov/CivicAlerts.aspx?AID=975) and social media on June 1 requesting community members who are interested to apply for either pro or con committees associated with the proposed public safety ballot measure. The deadline to apply was June 17, 2022.
Under King County jurisdictional requirements, each committee is limited to three members, but the committee can have an unlimited number of persons assist them to prepare their statements and rebuttals. Each committee must designate a spokesperson with whom King County Elections will communicate on all matters related to the local voter's pamphlet. For detailed information, please see King County's 2022 Jurisdiction Manual (https://kingcounty.gov/~/media/depts/elections/for-jurisdictions/pdfs/jurisdiction-manual.ashx)...
