III. DESCRIPTION/BACKGROUND
A vacancy exists on the Arts and Culture Commission due to Kris Shankar’s resignation.
I recommend that Marko Coady be appointed to the Arts and Culture Commission. He is highly qualified, and I believe he will be an excellent addition to the Commission.
Mr. Coady would complete Kris Shankar’s term, which expires March 31, 2020.
IV. PREVIOUS DISCUSSIONS HELD
Mr. Coady was interviewed by the Redmond City Council on June 12, 2018.

VI. ALTERNATIVES TO STAFF RECOMMENDATION
The City Council could choose not to confirm the appointment, in which case, the Mayor would continue to interview candidates for the open seat.
