III.                     DESCRIPTION/BACKGROUND

 

The first significant winter storm of 2019 began on Thursday, February 7, and came in three waves over the course of a week, producing an official record of 14.1 inches of snow.  The Emergency Coordination Center (ECC) was activated through February 13, 2019.

 

The threat to the City of Redmond involved power outages, downed trees with related debris, communication, and accessibility to transportation.

 

This study session will review best practices and lessons learned from the event.
