III. DESCRIPTION/BACKGROUND
This agreement is to provide fire protection services among regional fire agencies on an as needed basis utilizing reserve emergency response apparatus to temporarily replace or supplement regular emergency response apparatus.

V. IMPACT
A. Service/Delivery:
All parties shall have access to use of a specific Shared Emergency Response Reserve Apparatus (SERRA) on a first come first serve basis. SERRA may be used when the need is expected to be for more than three (3) calendar days.
B. Fiscal Note:
Each agency shall be responsible for performing and paying for all regular and non-routine repairs and maintenance necessitated by ordinary wear and tear of apparatus it owns.
VI. ALTERNATIVES TO STAFF RECOMMENDATION
The Council may choose to not approve the agreement, which would remove the City of Redmond as a participant in the ILA.
