Appoint Paul Rojas to the Library Board, and appoint Brian Rich to the Landmark Commission.

III. DESCRIPTION/BACKGROUND
A vacancy exists on the Library Board due to Melissa Stuart’s term expiration. A vacancy also exists on the Landmark Commission due to the resignation of Miguel Llanos.
I recommend that Paul Rojas be appointed to the Library Board and Brian Rich be appointed to the Landmark Commission. They are highly qualified, and I believe they will be excellent additions to their respective board and commission. Mr. Rojas’ term would expire March 31, 2024. Mr. Rich would complete a partial term, which expires March 31, 2020.
IV. PREVIOUS DISCUSSIONS HELD
Mr. Rojas and Mr. Rich were interviewed by the Redmond City Council on May 28, 2019.

VI. ALTERNATIVES TO STAFF RECOMMENDATION
The City Council could choose not to confirm the appointments, in which case, additional candidates would need to be interviewed.
