III. DESCRIPTION/BACKGROUND

The King County Regional Hazard Mitigation Plan assesses natural and human-caused hazards that can impact our region and develops strategies to reduce risk and build resilience. Nearly 60 planning partners - including school districts, water districts, and cities - participate in the process and developed annexes. The Redmond Annex to the County plan focuses on a hazard and risk analysis of the environment in our city.

V. IMPACT

A. Service/Delivery:

Specifically, the purpose of the plan is to:

* Provide technical support and information on which preparedness and response actions are based.

B. Fiscal Note:

Acceptance of this Annex will fulfill the requirements of King County and the City of Redmond to update hazards and risks in order to plan and strengthen mitigation efforts.

VI. ALTERNATIVES TO STAFF RECOMMENDATION
