OUTCOMES:

An improved community entryway along a City corridor will result, contributing to neighborhood vitality and community beautification. Residents have completed phase one improvements to remove diseased or dying birch trees last fall along NE 111th Street which is a highly visible neighborhood arterial that forms the neighborhood boundary between Education Hill and North Redmond.  Residents have also cleaned and restored monument signs at the two subdivision entry locations and pruned overgrown rhododendron shrubs also along NE 111th Street.

For phase two, residents are requesting grant funds to assist with re-barking six locations along NE 111th Street which are now bare dirt and roots.  The remaining funds will be used for the purchase and installation of landscaping around the two monument signs.
