OVERVIEW STATEMENT:

In July 2009, the Redmond Police Department was awarded funding under the Greater Puget Sound Financial Fraud and Identity Theft Task Force. This grant, from the State of Washington Department of Commerce, authorizes the funding of one (1) 36.5 hour per week Crime Analyst, to include wages, benefits, overtime and training. This agreement takes effect upon signature of both parties and renews automatically through June 30, 2030. The annual grant cycle is July through June.

OUTCOMES:

This grant allows funding for one (1) Crime Analyst. Due to the amount of crime, broad scope (over three counties) and amount of information available for dissemination this position has had a critical impact on investigating and solving cases throughout the tri-county area (King, Pierce, and Snohomish Counties).
