OUTCOMES:

Variable Frequency Drives (VFD) provide the power water and wastewater pump stations.  Many of the VFDs are at the end of their useful life and are in need of replacement.  This project will replace the VFDs at Pump Stations 3 and 5, Novelty Hill Pump Station, Novelty Hill Operations Center, and Wastewater Lift Station 51.

$709,452 from the City Water Fund, $919,297 from the Novelty Hill Water Fund, and $675,402 from the Novelty Hill Wastewater Fund.  These funds were included in the previous budget but were unallocated.  The use of these unallocated funds does not affect any other budgeted projects.  The project is included in the upcoming 2021-2026 CIP.

Maintenance costs for the current VFDs will continue to increase and accrue and construction cost inflation will increase the cost of this construction when it occurs.
