The Pandemic Plan provides guidance to City and regional partners regarding detection, response, and recovery from a pandemic incident. This plan describes the unique challenges posed by a pandemic that may necessitate specific leadership decisions, response actions, and communication mechanisms.

• Define preparedness activities that should be undertaken before a pandemic occurs that will enhance the effectiveness of response measures.
• Describe the response, coordination, and decision-making structure required during a pandemic.
• Define roles and responsibilities for Departments at the City of Redmond, local healthcare partners, and local response agencies during all phases of a pandemic.
• Describe public health interventions in a pandemic response and the timing of such interventions.
• Provide technical support and information on which preparedness and response actions are based.
