III. DESCRIPTION/BACKGROUND

The purpose of this Agreement is to define cost sharing between the City of Bellevue and City of Redmond for the NE Bel-Red Road Overlay Project. The project includes design and construction for pavement repair and overlay, sidewalk repair, ADA curb ramp construction, traffic control, utility adjustments and related improvements. Redmond's share of the cost will be for the segments of Bel-Red Road between 124th Ave NE to approximately NE 30th Street that are within Redmond city limits. Redmond's portion of the project is approximately 5% of the total project area.

The City of Bellevue will administer the agreement and will be responsible for design, permitting, regulatory compliance, contracting, construction, inspection and legal services necessary to complete the improvements.
