OVERVIEW STATEMENT:
recommendation
These improvements will boost capacity on the SR 202 corridor to support increased travel volumes associated with growth and improve access to the Marymoor light rail station.

The improvements will enhance pedestrian safety through crosswalk revisions, support bicycle mobility with new north/south bicycle lanes, increase vehicle capacity by enabling eastbound right turn movements to occur concurrently with southbound through and westbound left movements.

o Congestion at this intersection is a cause of backups on both SR 202 and SR 520
o There is no complete bicycle facility connection between Marymoor Village and the rest of the Southeast Redmond Neighborhood
o Pedestrians have been observed jaywalking across SR 202 rather than use the existing crosswalk system
