OVERVIEW STATEMENT:
recommendation
This project will rebuild the aging wastewater pumping (lift) station No. 12. The reconstruction of this station will ensure continuation of sanitary sewer service to the Marymoor neighborhood; will improve protection of public health and safety; and will increase wastewater capacity for this growing neighborhood.

Additional funding is required to ensure a successful project outcome for the construction of the replacement Lift Station 12. All Wastewater CIP funding is currently allocated to projects, so it is necessary to reallocate funding from another project to allow this project to proceed.

The Lift Station 15 project bids were rejected in March due to lack of funding and that project is being rescoped by staff to perform targeted equipment upgrades instead of the larger project that had been proposed. That revised scope will be brought back to City Council this summer as part of a reconsideration of the Wastewater Lift Station Program.
