Staff is seeking approval of the Human Services Commission's recommendation for disbursement of $95,583 in the second round of Community Development Block Grant-Coronavirus funds (CDBG-CV2), and $100,000 in the third round of CDBG-CV3 funds. The total recommended disbursement is $195,583.

On April 15, 2021, the King County Consortium Joint Recommendations Committee (JRC) approved the distribution of Round 2 Community Development Block Grant-Coronavirus funds (CDBG-CV2) to eligible cities. Redmond was allocated $95,583.

The Joint Recommendations Committee (JRC) is an inter-jurisdictional body that provides funding recommendations and advice on guidelines and procedures for King County and its consortia city partners. The JRC was established through the 2009-2011 CDBG Consortium Interlocal Cooperation Agreement and through King County Code 24.13.

On May 18, City Council approved the utilization of these funds for the purpose of behavioral health services and food security.
